From Volcanoes to Valleys

Hawaii, or “the Big Island” is the largest of the Hawaiian Islands. At over 2,000 miles (3,200 km) from the nearest land mass, the Hawaiian Islands are the most remote region of the world. More than that, though, the Big Island’s ecological diversity knows no parallel.

Volcanoes, beaches, rainforest and dry steppes all co-exist in this 95-mile-wide paradise. In Hawaii’s Volcanoes National Park, smoke puffs from Pu’u Oo Vent. While to the north, Waipio River cuts through the scenic Waipio valley, on it’s way to a rolling sea.
